After almost a year of brainstorming and planning and fine-tuning our new business, we have posted our first video to vermontvacation.com!
Kelley, our weather technician chose a perfect day of glorious sun and our first shoot was a lot of fun. We had worked with Marion a ton already, but this was our first gig as business partners. We seemed to fit into our roles immediately and collaboration was the key to smooth days. Highlights of the shoot for me were canoeing with Kelley in the rough lake and hardly able to paddle against the wind; wine-tasting with Mel at Snowfarm wines and feeling a bit "happy"; and listening to Bob Camp from Hero's Welcome give me an incredible history lesson about Champlain himself.
I did have one tough moment while shooting the open. I could not say Samuel de Champlain's name for some reason. I could not get it out. This will be just the start of a hilarious "out-takes" segment I am sure. Thanks to Marion for her patience on that one.
Thanks to Bob at Hero's Welcome and Harrsion at Snowfarm Vineyards for their help and hospitality. Both of those places are must-stops if you are ever traveling in the Islands.
After completing our first Spotlight, it has been non-stop for us and it isn't slowing down. In the next three weeks we are headed to Sugarbush, New Life hiking Spa at Killington, and to the Round Barn Farm Inn to shoot segments. Please keep checking in to vermonvacation.com and here at Vermontspotlight.com for more updates.
